Key Considerations for Powertrain HIL Test
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Safety, availability, and cost considerations can make performing thorough tests of embedded control devices using the complete system impractical. Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation is a real-time test technique used to test these devices more efficiently. During HIL test, the physical system that interfaces to an embedded control device is simulated on real-time hardware, and the outputs of the simulator mimic the actual output of the physical system. The embedded controller “thinks” it is in a real system. HIL simulation meticulously tests embedded control devices in a virtual environment before proceeding to real-world tests of the complete system. This application note covers recommended best practices for powertrain HIL testing. متن کاملPriority-based Multi-level Monitoring of Signal Integrity in a Distributed Powertrain Control System
With the increasing numbers and importance of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in modern automobiles, there is a need to monitor system and signal integrity to enable desired system behavior. Among the various signals in a vehicle, those associated with torque commands must be prioritized over others while preserving signal integrity as they have a large impact on meeting the powertrain performa...
متن کاملDevelopment of a scaled vehicle with Longitudinal dynamics of a HMMWV for ITS testbed
This paper presents the application of Buckingham’s π theorem to scale the powertrain of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) by deriving non dimensional ratios called π parameters. A HIL setup is constructed and the resulting longitudinal dynamics of the scaled vehicle are validated against those of the full scale vehicle. This is performed with the ultimate goal of testing coo...

Connected, Automated, Electrified. These three trends in the automotive industry require rethinking of the use of simulation respectively models. The use of models for evaluation of new concepts or stimulating the unit-undertest (in HiL testing), already firmly rooted in the development process of software functions, will not be sufficient to realize visions like autonomous driving or update-ov...
